The word SolSeed means "the body of all life on Earth."

We believe that:

Fulfilling the Destiny: Helping life spread out from Earth to plant the seeds of new living worlds throughout the Galaxy.

Where we come from:

Partly inspired by the fictional Earthseed religion in Octavia Butler's two Parable novels.
Established five years ago as a wiki site, now hosted at solseed.org.
Attracted members and friends in Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Illinois, Virginia, and New York.
Held three major in-person gatherings in Oregon in 2009.
