Draft of trifold language

The word SolSeed means "the body of all life on Earth."

We believe that:

  • All life is precious.
  • The Destiny of SolSeed is to take root amongst the stars.

What we're about:

  • Healing, sustaining, and nurturing life on Earth.
  • Becoming a society of "starfarers," people with the values and consciousness needed to fulfill the Destiny.
  • Fulfilling the Destiny: Helping life spread out from Earth to plant the seeds of new living worlds throughout the Galaxy.

Where we come from:

  • Partly inspired by the fictional Earthseed religion in Octavia Butler's two Parable novels.
  • Established five years ago as a wiki site, now hosted at solseed.org.
  • Attracted members and friends in Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Illinois, Virginia, and New York.
  • Held three major in-person gatherings in Oregon in 2009.
