Opening Words
BRANDON: The SolSeed Creed is a statement of the shared values that ground the SolSeed Movement. The SolSeed Creed asserts that life and that which sustains life is good and precious, and calls humanity to mature into its role as caretaker of SolSeed. The Destiny is the ultimate expression of what nurturing and protecting life means. Becoming worthy of and fulfilling The Destiny are the two ultimate goals held by members of the SolSeed Movement.
BEN:

- Self Love is motive.

- Empathy and Wisdom are impotent.
ETHAN:

BRANDON:
- Empathy is transcendent.

Check In
Water Project
Partner based ... nonprofit orgs on the ground to help facilitate everything they do. They don't go there very often (overhead is heavy). Working with partner orgs that know the community in need. Technology is regional dependent. Don't do same things in middle of Desert that do in Honduras.
Long term efficacy ... 98% of projects are still working 5 & 10 years later (10 years in Honduras). Not 100% still working (community interest ... not technology). Emory University and Stanford University audit. Information is on website.
Projects take 12-18 months at the shortest.
Partner with donors ... partner with orgs who then partner with the communities. Don't do for ... do with. Utilize communities resources ... only where there is interest. Must be educated in hygiene and sanitation.

Last year administrative and fundraising costs were higher because we hired more staff and started doing more outreach and fundraising. Goal to have back down by end of next fiscal year.
Raise $10,000 for a project in an area they choose. Connect with community via pictures and correspondence. Will give us material to post on our Personal Fundraising Site and to use when we talk to people.
